In Over My Head: The Just Transition Trailer

Michael talks with leading experts in Canada and beyond all about the Just transition. From housing and communities to society as a whole - they discuss how we make the transition to net-zero, fair, equitable, and better for everyone.

Michael
The transition to net zero is gonna change a lot of things, whether it's our jobs, our communities, how we get around or heat our houses, but how do we make this transition fair? And one that supports everyone. It's about so much more than just jobs. So I'm gonna need a lot of help to tackle this one. Thankfully, I know just who to talk to.

(Guest Sounds Bites)
What we find is often a pattern of injustice whereby those who use cars less and therefore contribute the least to those problems are also those who tend to be the most exposed and the most vulnerable to them.

How do we get to be net zero by 2050? How are we gonna do this? When we can't leave people be high,

Relationships are much more powerful than we realize the importance of equality is much more powerful than we realize

People need to make it be known what those supports should look like and support decision makers that they think can fulfill here.

When you link bold climate action with these kinds of bold measures to tackle inequality and economic insecurity, the support for the bold climate action, doesn't go down. It goes through the roof

And we are doing it and we can change. And there is hope. There's always hope.

Michael
Join me as I sit down with leading experts in the just transition, we're gonna try to figure out how to create a future that is clean greener and better for everyone. There's no time to waste. So let's get to it.
